Welcome to Manalyzer ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency and care. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our web application (the "App") and services.

Acceptance of this policy

By accessing or using the App, creating an account, or uploading a manuscript, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Information we collect

• Account information: When you sign up using your Google account, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
• Manuscript content: We collect the manuscript files (PDF, DOCX) you voluntarily upload for analysis. This is your intellectual property, and we treat it with the highest level of confidentiality.
• Community & sharing data: If you choose to use our Book Sharing or Community Books features, we collect your preferences, comments, interactions, and the specific permissions you grant regarding who can view or access your shared manuscripts.
• Usage data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the App — features used, analysis reports generated, community interactions, and session duration. This data is anonymized wherever possible.
• Device and browser information: We collect standard technical information, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
• Transaction data: If you purchase tokens, our payment processor (Stripe) will collect your payment information. We do not store your credit card details.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to operate the App, generate analysis reports, facilitate book sharing and community features, handle payments for token purchases, and communicate with you about important account notifications, updates, and support requests.

User feedback and testimonials

We love hearing from our users. If you provide us with feedback, support requests, or suggestions, we may use your comments to improve Manalyzer or for marketing purposes. To protect your privacy, we will only identify you by your first name, an initial, and/or your writing genre (e.g., "Sarah, Romance Author") unless you give us explicit permission to use your full name. If you would like us to remove a quote attributed to you, please contact us at support@manalyzer.online and we will do so within 30 days.

How we share and disclose data

• Other users (through sharing & community features): If you explicitly choose to share your manuscript, analysis reports, or profile via our Book Sharing or Community Books features, that specific information will be made visible to the users you designate or to the broader Manalyzer community.
• Third-party service providers: We share information with trusted third parties who help us operate the App:
  • Google Cloud Platform — cloud hosting, database (Firestore), and file storage;
  • Firebase / Google — authentication and hosting of the web app;
  • Stripe — payment processing (we never see or store your card details);
  • OpenRouter — routes manuscript text to the AI model selected for each analysis task. Depending on the task, the underlying model may be provided by Anthropic, Meta, Google, or another provider available through OpenRouter.
  We use these providers under terms that prohibit them from using your manuscript content to train their models. Manuscript text is sent solely to generate the analysis you request and is not retained by the AI providers.
• Legal obligations: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal processes.

Data security

We implement robust security measures, including encryption for data in transit and at rest, and strict access controls to protect your manuscript and personal data from unauthorized access.

Your manuscript and intellectual property

You retain all intellectual property rights to your manuscript. We will never use your work for any purpose other than providing you with the analysis you requested, unless you explicitly direct us to share your work with others through our Book Sharing or Community Books features. We do not use your manuscripts to train our AI models or any third-party models.

Data retention

We retain your manuscript on our secure servers only for as long as needed to provide you with the analysis and to facilitate any community or sharing features you have actively opted into. You have the option to delete your manuscript, its associated report, and revoke sharing access from our systems at any time through your user dashboard.

Your rights and choices

• Access and update: You can access and update your account information, as well as modify your sharing and community visibility settings, through your dashboard.
• Data deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• Opt-out of communications: You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

International data transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure that all data transfers comply with legal requirements and that your information remains protected.

Children's privacy

Manalyzer is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by email or through the App.
