How tokens work

Tokens are the currency of Manalyzer. Every analysis consumes tokens based on its complexity and the length of your manuscript. Tokens never expire; you only pay for what you use.

Manuscript tiering

Shorter works cost less. The same full analysis costs half as much for a short story as for a novel (20,001–60,000 words), and 3.5× for an epic beyond 300,000 words.

Tool costs

Different tools cost different amounts of tokens. A Comprehensive Critique costs more than a single-line Pass because it draws on the whole manuscript. A Fact Checker costs more than a Readability check because it does more work.

Deep Analysis

Deep Analysis is an optional "second pass" that re-checks the critic's findings against the full manuscript, applying revisions where necessary. It adds a verification pass (3 tokens) plus a second run of the critique, plot, character, and consistency modules (+9 tokens, before tier scaling) — about a third more on a full suite — but catches more inconsistencies, dropped subplots, and moments where the execution doesn't match the intent.

Example: full analysis of an 80,000-word novel

• At 80,000 words = Long Novel tier (1.5×) → 51 tokens
